Dutchtown

Tucked deep in south city, Dutchtown is home to unique brick architecture, diverse restaurants and rich history. Interestingly enough, Dutchtown earned its name via the St. Louis-style mispronunciation of "Deutsch", as it was home to the city's southernmost pocket of German immigrants. As such, its homes are recognized for their superb craftsmanship (they just don't make them like this anymore!).

With an abundance of affordable housing options and convenient access to I-55, Dutchtown offers plenty to love. While in the area, don't forget to grab a concrete at the oldest remaining location of St. Louis staple, Ted Drewes.
